Cannes Yachting Festival 2021, less than three months to go

With less than three months to go before its opening, the future edition of the Yachting Festival looks very promising. Not only will the famous Yachting Festival be the first major event to reopen since the Covid-19 pandemic, it will also be rich in exceptional content to discover from 7 to 12 September in the Vieux Port and Port Canto!

Thanks to the renewed confidence of its loyal exhibitors and the arrival of 120 new companies, the Yachting Festival will welcome 470 French and international yachting industry figures.

In-water and on land, 560 new boats from 3 to 45 metres, monohull or multihull, will be exhibited at the Vieux Port for motorboats and at Port Canto for sailing boats, among them 150 will be making their world première.

The Yachting Festival is constantly evolving and the 2021 edition is no exception with the confirmation of the projects announced last May:

The Innovation Space created in partnership with Mer Angels & BNP Paribas Banque Privée will showcase intelligent start-ups in the nautical sector offering breakthrough technologies or high added-value services. These start-ups are creating the future of yachting: yachting that is more powerful, more responsible and more environmentally friendly.

An area reserved for 100% electric and hybrid boats with the presence of the following shipyards: Boote Marian, Pinball Boats, Sarvo Marine, Say, Vita Yachts and Xshore, presenting ten boats from 8 to 12 metres.Cannes Yachting Festival 2021, less than three months to goCannes Yachting Festival 2021, less than three months to go

An area reserved for sea trials
Because the safety of exhibitors and visitors is one of the priorities of the Yachting Festival, this new area reserved for sea trials is located on the other side of the Jetée, away from the event to reduce visitor flows within the port area. It offers fast and direct access to the open sea for exhibitors and their visitors.

This area on land brings together the world’s leading manufacturers of outboard and inboard engines for small and medium-sized boats.. Visitors will be able to admire these impressive machines and discover their performance and all the latest innovations offered in this field.

An in-water area reserved for motorised multihulls with some 15 boats from 11 to 29 metres.

And let’s not forget the event within the event

The next edition of the Concours d’Élégance will be held on Saturday 11 September at 4 pm and see a selection of vintage and modern cabinless day motorboats of less than 12 metres in length parade under the admiring eyes of enthusiasts and the more watchful ones of a jury of experts. After the parade, the jury will announce the list of winners. The Concours d’Elegance is open to festival exhibitors and collector owners. Registration is free on the Yachting Festival website. Visitors can attend the day-boats parade free of charge and watch from the Festival beach.

Whether exhibitors, service providers (involved during the set-up, event and take-down), guests, visitors (general public and professionals) or journalists, all persons wishing to enter the Yachting Festival enclosure must pre-register and present their electronic access pass with QR code, either printed out or on the screen of their smartphone. There will be no ticket office at the show entrances, tickets will be available online only.

We are in the last lap for the preparation of the 2021 edition of the Yachting Festival. All lights are green in terms of exhibitors and boats registered, and as regards the completion of our new projects. We are working, with enthusiasm and confidence, to offer our exhibitors and visitors a very fine edition, declared Sylvie Ernoult, Director of the Yachting Festival, adding that: At the same time, we remain very attentive to the evolution of the health situation. We have voluntarily delayed the opening of our ticketing office until July in order to adapt it to health measures. We plan to issue more details on this.
