The dates of the 62nd Genoa International Boat Show have been announced

The General Council of Confindustria Nautica yesterday approved the dates of the next edition of the Genoa International Boat Show: the 62nd edition of the event will be held from 22 to 27 September 2022.

The Genoa International Boat Show, which since 1962 has brought together exhibitors, industry professionals and sea enthusiasts in Genoa, has once again confirmed itself this year as the “cornerstone of boating”, after the 2020 edition which saw the Genoese kermesse as the only event of sector organized in presence and in safety in Europe. This year there were 93,782 visitors and 992 brands exhibited.

Saverio Cecchi, President of Confindustria Nautica and I Saloni Nautici: “As Confindustria Nautica we firmly believe in the value of the Boat Show and we are proud of the strength and continuity of our event. The 61st Boat Show, which was held in September, was a edition that has capitalized on the great work carried out by the Association in recent years, and has shown strength and resilience by far exceeding expectations, positioning itself as the sector event in attendance, compliant with safety protocols, the most important in Italy and in Europe.”

Confindustria Nautica’s calendar of appointments as part of the initiatives in support of companies in the sector includes participation in the METSTRADE in Amsterdam (16 – 18 November), the international exhibition dedicated to operators in the sector of components and accessories for pleasure boating. . Confindustria Nautica organized the collective participation of 83 Italian companies, in collaboration with ICE Agenzia to support the development of business and networking activities of Italian operators on the international market.

At the METSTRADE Confindustria Nautica will also sponsor the Boat Builder Awards, once again tying its name to one of the categories in the competition, specifically the one that rewards the Environmental Initiative: the theme of sustainability is a priority for the Association, strongly characterized by innovation and development of new technologies, a key challenge for the future and for the growth of international yachting.

At the end of the 2021 activities, the General Assembly of the Members of Confindustria Nautica is scheduled for Thursday 16 December, in Rome, at the Ara Pacis auditorium, which brings together recreational boating entrepreneurs for a day of work, of comparison and updating on the sector, with the report on the annual activities of the Association.
