The interior design for 51m S/Y Rainbow II being built on spec, was originally released with a modern take on a classic theme, carried by lacquered mahogany and delicate panel detailing on the main walls, where the cabinetry is enriched with ebony inlays and burl veneer tops.
However, we are now releasing a lighter, brighter, more contemporary version of the interior. The contemporary chic use of materials and colours takes cues from Scandinavian design: A general lighter finish to the walls is accentuated by light-coloured fabrics and leathers and the cooler look is punctuated by cabinetry of lacquered mahogany. The overall effect is one of higher ceilings, more light and wider spaces on an already incredibly well laid out sailing yacht.
