72m Axioma superyacht arrested in Gibraltar

It is being widely reported by international broadcasters and throughout social media, that Russian-owned superyachts are being seized as they sit in waters of the countries that are posing sanctions on Russian companies and oligarchs. While these reports have been circulated, the sources behind some of these stories have been broadly unknown, we will continue to update this article if and when further yachts are sanctioned.

According to a report published by Reuters, the 72-metre motor yacht Axioma by Dunya Yachts has been detained by authorities in Gibraltar. Axioma is believed to be owned by the CEO of the steel group TMK. According to a statement from the Gibraltar government “The vessel is now subject to arrest by the Admiralty Marshal until further order.”

Axioma was launched in 2013 and sports an exterior design by Sterling / Scott and an interior by Alberto Pinto. She has an interior volume of 1,620 GT and accommodation for up to 12 guests. She’s run by 20 crew.
