KM Yachtbuilders launches first motor yacht Bestevaer 53 MY

Makkum, July 23rd, 2020 – With over 20 years of experience in building aluminium sailing yachts, Dutch shipyard KM Yachtbuilders now launches its first luxury motor yacht, the Bestevaer 53 MY. Elegant, timeless and distinctive: This aluminium vessel combines an everlasting aesthetic with quality, safety and comfort for travel to adventurous places. Heading to the rugged coastline of Norway or to Italy for the Venice Biennale: This ship takes you anywhere you want to go.

The seaworthy diesel powered Bestevaer 53 Motor Yacht is the perfect vessel for (former) sailors and motorboat enthusiasts who dream of minimal maintenance and maximal comfort while exploring new territories or traveling familiar waters.KM Yachtbuilders launches first motor yacht Bestevaer 53 MYKM Yachtbuilders launches first motor yacht Bestevaer 53 MY

The ship has a large aft deck with hydraulic swimming platform and wide gangways for easy manoeuvring on board. Two large sliding doors to the cockpit can be fully folded open, merging inside with outside. The spacious lounge has a large seating area with TV and a fully equipped galley with cooking facilities, refrigerator, dishwasher, washing machine and Quooker tap. The bridge section leads to two commodious bedrooms, each with dedicated bathroom facilities guaranteeing optimal privacy when guests sail along.
The Scandinavian design inspired interior is made of natural materials such as brushed oak and styled in light, sandy colours. As with any custom yacht built by KM Yachtbuilders, this ship can be tailored to fit the owner’s wishes in size, layout and interior styling.

This Bestevaer 53 Motor Yacht is virtually maintenance free because of its aluminium hull and structure and offers many additional conveniences such as a remote-control docking system, stabilizers and plenty of storage space for bicycles, tools, lines and fenders.KM Yachtbuilders launches first motor yacht Bestevaer 53 MYKM Yachtbuilders launches first motor yacht Bestevaer 53 MY

From engineering to building the aluminium hull, outfitting and finishing, technical installation and interior woodwork: Every aspect of building this ship is carried out by KM Yachtbuilders at their shipyard in Makkum, The Netherlands. This way of working guarantees full control over the building quality and it provides the flexibility to always take the wishes of the owners into account.

With this vessel KM Yachtbuilders adds a new model to its Bestevaer portfolio, the series of aluminium sailing yachts developed in close collaboration with Dykstra Naval Architects from Amsterdam. The Bestevaer yachts distinct themselves by their characteristic straight bow, round portholes and pilot house. The underwater ship of the Bestevaer 53 Motor Yacht was designed by Studio Delta.

The ship is presented to press on September 10th and invitees on September 11th at the Amstel Hotel, Professor Tulpplein 1, 1018 GX Amsterdam and at the KM Yachtbuilders Open Day in Makkum on September 26th.
