CNB yacht builders joins Solaris Yachts to build sailing yachts

CNB yacht builders joins Solaris Yachts breathing life to the first worldwide excellence yard to build sailing yachts from 40 to 110 feet.

These two market-leading brands combined have 80 years of experience. They have decided to pool their heritage of knowledge to focus on satisfying all demanding enthusiasts who love to sail in the Med or around the world, as a couple or with a crew.

Since 1974, Solaris Yachts has been setting new standards in the performance cruiser sector. Solaris Yachts’ large and powerful hulls match with elegant, classic and timeless layouts. They are modern and fast sailing boats for sailing and racing enthusiasts who seek pleasure above all from personally steering their boat.

Since being founded more than 30 years ago, CNB yacht builders has built a world-renowned position for creating one-off models, then adapting this know-how for semi-custom yachts. A market leader with the CNB 76 and CNB 66, CNB yacht builders is firmly focused on blue water sailing. Combining seaworthiness and unique style, the panoramic roof created by Philippe Briand has become the yard’s iconic signature.

Moving forward, the synergies between these two brands will benefit the development of new models, while respecting each one’s identity. Illustrating this, the CNB 8X will be unveiled in a few weeks’ time, pioneering a new age for CNB yacht builders.

By joining Solaris, CNB yachts’ future will be developed within a smaller, more responsive structure, adapted to the demands of this exclusive market. Its facilities are calibrated for producing small series with high levels of customization and quality for each yacht.

A transition period will run through to 2022 so as to facilitate future deliveries, while enabling Solaris to gradually integrate production.
For the boats currently being built, their production will continue to be based in Monfalcone, along with all the future CNB 66 and CNB 76 units sold in 2021. There are no changes to the contractual relationship and these boats will benefit from the same conditions as the other CNB units already delivered.

From 2022, CNB 66 and CNB 76 production will gradually transition to the Solaris site, which is around 20 km from Monfalcone.
These two complementary brands, driven by the same yard, will continue to set their own course.
