Fire Damages 26m Falcon Yacht and Multiple Vessels at Sunny Isles Marina

A significant fire broke out in the early hours of June 6 at Sunny Isles Marina in Miami, Florida, severely damaging multiple vessels, including a 26.2-metre Falcon 86 yacht. The marina, located behind a residential apartment complex, became the scene of a dramatic emergency response as flames quickly engulfed several yachts.

According to local reports, first responders from Miami Dade Fire Rescue arrived at the marina around 5:00 a.m. to find a large yacht fully ablaze. The fire had already begun spreading to nearby vessels, prompting an urgent, large-scale response involving over 25 firefighting units, alongside Miami Fire Rescue, the U.S. Coast Guard, and Florida Fish and Wildlife personnel.

The affected vessels include several yachts under 24 metres, two personal watercraft, and the Falcon 86, a popular flybridge model built by Italy’s Falcon Yachts. Known for its spacious layout and classic Mediterranean styling, the 26.2-metre yacht features generous deck space, a barbecue area, and room for water toys — now reportedly scorched beyond immediate repair.

Authorities successfully brought the blaze under control by 7:30 a.m., with no casualties reported. Residents in the immediate area were safely evacuated during the incident, though investigations into the cause of the fire remain ongoing.
