64m Sanlorenzo Superyacht Attila Runs Aground in Formentera

The 64.3-metre flagship of Sanlorenzo, Attila, has run aground off the coast of Es Pujols in Formentera, according to reports and eyewitness accounts. The incident occurred on 1 July at approximately 2:30 PM, after the yacht was seen navigating into shallow waters earlier in the afternoon.

🚨 No Injuries, No Environmental Damage Reported

Initial reports confirm that no injuries have occurred and that there has been no environmental pollution detected. Spanish maritime authorities have also noted that no damage was caused to the protected Posidonia seagrass, a sensitive ecosystem native to the Balearic Islands.

Efforts to refloat the yacht are now underway, coordinated by local maritime services. The extent of the damage to the vessel remains under evaluation as authorities and marine experts continue their assessments.

🛥️ About Attila: Sanlorenzo’s Steel-Flagship

Delivered in 2019, Attila remains the largest yacht ever built by Sanlorenzo, holding the flagship title of the Italian shipyard for six consecutive years. Built with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure, the yacht is known not only for her robust build but also for her luxurious lifestyle features, including:

  • A climate-controlled wine cellar
  • A main deck “enormous barbecue” integrated into the dining area
  • A 78-square-metre beach club equipped with a sauna, Hammam, massage room, and gym

Her bold, masculine lines were designed by Officina Italiana Design, while the interiors draw from modern South American influences, envisioned by Francesco Paszkowski with interior styling support from Margherita Casprini.

🎥 Incident Footage Circulates Online

Footage shared on social media shows the yacht resting visibly on a sandbar just meters from shore, drawing the attention of beachgoers and marine observers. Nautic Magazine is monitoring the situation and will continue to update as refloating efforts progress and more details become available.
