German yard YYachts has announced the delivery of the fourth unit in its acclaimed flagship Y9 sailing yacht series, named Ephemere. The 27.4-metre vessel recently departed YYachts’ outfitting facilities in Greifswald and, according to BOATPro, is already cruising in the waters of Norway with her owner. She is set to make her eagerly anticipated debut at the Monaco Yacht Show this September.

Ephemere was launched earlier this year in May, unveiling a striking custom teal blue hull and a sleek, slender profile. The yacht’s design and naval architecture are the work of Bill Tripp of Tripp Design, who also created previous models in the Y9 series.
Inside, Ephemere boasts interiors by the award-winning Copenhagen-based studio Norm Architects, complemented by tailor-made customizations from YYachts’ in-house design team. The interior reflects the owner’s vision with a harmonious blend of minimalist elegance and maritime comfort, characteristic of the Y9 model.

The yacht offers a spacious beach club with a hydraulic swim platform, perfect for relaxing or water activities. Uniquely, the saloon integrates an office space with a half-height room divider, providing privacy while maintaining an open atmosphere. Accommodation is designed for six guests across three cabins, making Ephemere ideal for family cruising or entertaining guests.
Despite measuring 27.4 metres, the Y9 series delivers the volume and comfort typically found on a 30-metre yacht, thanks to YYachts’ innovative carbon fibre construction and smart design. The yacht is engineered for easy maneuverability, allowing it to be handled by a small crew without sacrificing performance or luxury.

Powering Ephemere are twin Volvo engines, providing reliable propulsion for smooth sailing and efficient cruising.
According to Ephemere’s captain, who has overseen the yacht’s production and sea trials, “From the very first moment, it was clear: this Y9 is something special. She sails effortlessly, responds with precision, and remains astonishingly calm even in strong winds.”

He added, “The interplay of technology, lightweight construction, and design has been executed to perfection. The team at YYachts did a phenomenal job – the cooperation was professional, personal, and of the highest standard. All expectations were more than fulfilled.”
Ephemere will be showcased at the Monaco Yacht Show this September, berthed at Port Hercule at H04.
