From 19 to 24 August 2025, the 20th Palermo-Montecarlo Regatta sets sail, uniting Sicily and the Principality of Monaco across 500 nautical miles of offshore racing. Organized by the Circolo della Vela Sicilia, in collaboration with the Yacht Club de Monaco and the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda, this anniversary edition brings together 45 boats from seven nations, ranging from Italy and Monaco to France, Austria, Germany, Great Britain, San Marino, and Turkey.

The event was officially presented at the Circolo della Vela Sicilia, with the iconic Italian Navy training ship Palinuro serving as a striking backdrop. The Palinuro will accompany the fleet at the start before mooring in Palermo as part of the festivities.
New for 2025, the Palermo-Montecarlo also launches its first Virtual Regatta, already counting over 2,700 participants worldwide, ensuring that sailing enthusiasts everywhere can take part in the challenge.
On the water, the spotlight is on Black Jack, Remon Vos’s 100-foot Maxi skippered by Tristan Le Brun, defending line honors after last year’s record-breaking win. Other contenders include the French Intuition, Austria’s VO65 Sisi, Turkey’s TP52 Blue Moon Arkas, and several top Italian entries, such as the foiling catamaran Falcon and the ICE 52 No Regret from Circolo della Vela Sicilia.
With strong easterly and westerly winds forecast, this 20th edition promises fast-paced racing, fierce rivalries, and an unforgettable showcase of Mediterranean offshore sailing.
