From September 27 to October 5, 2025, nearly 300 yachts will gather once again in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez for one of the world’s most prestigious regattas: Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez. Organized by the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez (SNST), this year’s edition promises to be even more special, marking the 20th Rolex Trophy and the 70th anniversary of Club 55, the legendary Pampelonne beachside restaurant where the event’s Corinthian spirit was born.

Rolex Trophy: Honouring the Giants
Since 2006, Rolex has celebrated the diversity of classic yachts at Les Voiles, spotlighting a different category each year. For the 2025 edition, the Rolex Trophy returns to the Big Boats fleet. More than a dozen giants are expected, including the legendary Atlantic, which will make her first official appearance in Saint-Tropez. Past winners include So Fong (1937), Varuna (1939), Marga (1910, helmed by Torben Graël), and the majestic Shenandoah of Sark (54.35m).

Moderns and Maxis in Focus
Alongside the classics, the regatta will once again celebrate innovation and power:
- The BMW Trophy will highlight the IRC B group, home to TP52s, Wally Rocket, First, Solaris Club Swan, and Code 1 yachts—fast, modern racers sailed by world-class crews.
- The Edmond de Rothschild Trophy will recognize excellence in the Maxi divisions, where yachts like Jolt, Lyra, Yoru, and Six Jaguar have triumphed in past editions.
The Corinthian Spirit Lives On
Les Voiles remains true to its heritage: there is no prize money—only the pursuit of glory. Since 1981, when Pride and Ikra first challenged each other off Pampelonne, the ethos has been one of elegance, fair play, and camaraderie.

In 2025, the “Club 55 Anniversary Cup” will return as a single highlight challenge for Modern and Classic yachts. This celebrates not only the event’s birthplace but also the 70th anniversary of Club 55, founded by Patrice de Colmont, and the year SNST organized its first major regattas, including the Saint-Tropez–Porquerolles race, sponsored by Dior.
As François Carn (1931–2024), former President of the Yacht Club de France, once said:
“The Corinthian spirit is not limited to fair play… It is discretion in victory, modesty in defeat, and the constant reminder that racing is a game—and must remain so.”
Spotlight on Art: Jacques Cordier
The official poster for Les Voiles 2025 features an oil painting by Jacques Cordier (1937–1975), whose vibrant palette captures the intensity and energy of Saint-Tropez racing. His works, often inspired by the Mediterranean coast, remain an artistic legacy kept alive by his wife Simone, daughter of the owners of the Hôtel de la Ponche.
