Ibiza JoySail 2025 Hits Capacity With Four Months to Go

The fifth edition of the Ibiza JoySail regatta is already making waves—four months ahead of its official start on September 18, the exclusive event has reached full capacity with 22 superyachts confirmed and 13 more on the waiting list.

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Ibiza and Formentera, and hosted once again by Marina Ibiza, the regatta has become one of the most coveted on the Mediterranean circuit. Jointly organized by STP Shipyard Palma and Marina Ibiza, Ibiza JoySail continues to prioritize quality over quantity, keeping its participant list highly curated due to both marina space constraints and its commitment to smooth logistics and premium experience.

A Record-Breaking Line-Up

The fleet showcases an impressive mix of newcomers and returning champions. Nearly half of the entries will be debuting, including notable yachts such as:

  • Kiboko IV (SW108, recently awarded Boat of the Year at the World Superyacht Awards)
  • Anomaly (formerly Ribelle, Vitters)
  • Cervo (largest in the fleet at 128 ft)
  • Ganesha, Haromi, Magic Blue, Savuke, Karibu, Namuun, and Spiip

Returning yachts include event regulars like Moat, Aurelius, Open Season, Morgana, and the well-traveled Gelliceaux, which has clocked over 12,000 nautical miles since her 2023 launch.

Top Shipyards Represented

Leading yards are well represented:

  • Southern Wind and Nautor’s Swan dominate with six yachts each.
  • Other notable builders include Baltic Yachts, Vitters, Y-Yachts, Oyster, Pendennis, Turquoise Yachts, and JOM Holland.

This diversity reinforces the event’s prestige, attracting a wide spectrum of the world’s most distinguished custom and semi-custom sailing yachts.

The Rival to Beat: Moat

The Swan 115 Moat remains the team to beat, having won all four previous editions of Ibiza JoySail. Meanwhile, in the emerging Café Racer category, a spotlight is on Open Season and Ganesha—two sleek yachts expected to reignite a long-anticipated duel after Ganesha’s absence last year.

A Regatta of Elegance and Community

Ibiza JoySail has carved a niche for itself with a unique blend of high-level competition and a relaxed, “family & friends” atmosphere. With glamorous shoreside events and exhilarating race days, it is both a celebration of sailing and a luxurious lifestyle gathering.

The regatta continues to grow in stature and popularity, reinforcing its place as a must-attend event in the superyacht calendar.
