New Year’s Eve in the 36th Americas Cup Village on 31st December

It is with great excitement that we can announce a fantastic line up for New Year’s Eve in the 36th Americas Cup Village on Thursday 31st December 2020.

It’s been such a challenging year and we know we are very lucky to be able to celebrate safely in public, on our beautiful waterfront in Tamaki Makaurau, Auckland. With the World Series recently held in December behind us, and Emirates Team New Zealand having won the first round of racing with the AC75s, its time for us to have some fun and we think there’s no better place than down here on the waterfront.

We’ve got two stages you can come and listen to some great local acts. We are sure there’s something for everyone.

Silo Park will be a family focused area, with entertainment for the kids and young at heart from 315pm with face painting and festive bio glitter, circability circus workshops, and tinsel monsters! The music kicks off at the same time with Frank Booker DJ, and he amongst other very talented musicians including Che Fu, Soul9Yards, and White Chapel Jak take us through until midnight.

Down at the Main Stage on Te Wero Island, we start around 5pm with DJ Ronni BiGGz, with Boh Runga, followed by Laughton Kora & Mal Lakatani Duo, before we head into the amazingly talented 7 piece band Halo, culminating in one of our all-time favourite Kiwi icons of music, The Jordon Luck band. Come on down and enjoy some of the local food and beverages on offer within Te Pou NZ House and The Mumm Yacht Club with the best views of the stage, and across the waterfront.
