The second unit of the flagship Mangusta Oceano 50 is sold in the US

A few days after the delivery of the first Mangusta Oceano 50, Overmarine Group today announces another success. “Project Verona” is the second construction of the 50-meter flagship of the Mangusta Oceano series sold to an American customer.

“This further sale of a metal displacement ship in the USA testifies to how much American customers increasingly appreciate the build quality of Mangusta, a sign of the great work carried out by the team in this area in terms of reputation, design innovation and construction skills of the shipyard” he declares Stefano Arlunno, Mangusta President Americas who directly managed the sale.

This model is a displacement ship in steel and aluminum with a tonnage of 499 GT whose external lines bear the signature of Alberto Mancini, while the naval architecture was curated by PLANA Design of Eng. Ausonio, who collaborated together with the technical offices of the shipyard. The Owner has chosen the Mangusta Oceano 50 as well as for the external line, for the balance of internal and external spaces. On the Mangusta Oceano 50 there are several outdoor areas available to guests, including the beach area which is spread over three interconnected terraces on the water surface fully equipped for immediate contact with the sea on a total area of 68 sqm / 732 sq / ft.

Aft of the main deck we find an unparalleled deck; the stern door and the two large full-height sliding side windows, once fully open, create a unique and uninterrupted dialogue with the interior in which light and air become natural protagonists. Moving on to the Upper deck, the bow area was entirely customized by the Customer with the aim of obtaining a huge infinity pool, the largest built on the Mangusta Oceano series.

The shipyard pioneered the study of swimming pools aboard its boats and with this further evolution an endless connection with the sea will be obtained, reflecting the ultramodern architecture of a Miami villa. The crystal clear water of the Bahamas will completely merge with the swimming pool of the Mangusta Oceano 50 and the Owner will be able to enjoy an unprecedented view. A second infinity jacuzzi pool is located on the sun deck near the relaxation area and a dining table for 14 people sheltered by a full-width hard top.

As for the interiors, the layout chosen by the Owner sees a configuration with 6 cabins, including 4 guests and a large VIP positioned on the lower deck and the owner’s suite on the main deck, equipped with an exclusive fully automatic “balcony” overlooking the sea. The custom interiors were designed by Alberto Mancini according to the particular requests of the customer, reflecting the philosophy of a villa on the water in perfect Floridian style. The ship has a propulsion package consisting of two 1700 hp MTU 12V 2000 M86 engines that allow it to sail up to a maximum speed of 16 knots.

With a range of up to 4500 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 11 knots, she will be able to cross the ocean in maximum comfort. The Mangusta Oceano line has been designed to offer the Owner an exclusive experience on board whatever the destination to be reached, to experience the sea with style and elegance without sacrificing comfort. Delivery of “Project Verona” is scheduled for summer 2022.
