Ibiza JoySail Becomes the Highlight of the Late Mediterranean Summer

Ibiza JoySail has become the spotlight of the late Mediterranean summer. The superyacht regatta, promoted by STP Shipyard Palma and Marina Ibiza, continues to grow each year. Since the last edition, it has been an invitational regatta, and in 2024 it will feature 20 top-tier superyachts, the maximum number set by the organizers.

In just four years, Ibiza JoySail has made its mark among the regulars of the major international competitions. Everything is ready for another exciting year from September 19th to 22nd, thanks to the support of companies and institutions that have backed the regatta from the start.

Logistics During the Regatta
Technical and logistical support is essential in a competition of this nature. Five top-level technical companies will be present at Ibiza JoySail to serve the yachts. North Sails will provide a dedicated tent for sail repairs with daily pickup and return service. RigPro will cover any rigging repairs or needs, while Sailmon will offer live tracking of the regatta, allowing fans to follow the yachts in real time. Global Yachting Ibiza will supply a fleet of stylish support boats to assist the organization at sea, media coverage, VIP guests, and the race committee. Furthermore, Yacht Moving will manage the logistics of tenders, sails, containers, and other equipment to ensure everything is in the right place at the right time.

Top-Notch Collaborators
The participating yachts benefit from access to Varadero Ibiza, a facility for urgent repairs located next to Marina Ibiza, and Monzó Yacht Painting, which brings extensive experience in painting racing yachts. Yacht provisioning will be handled by Super Oh, conveniently located within the marina, with all services efficiently coordinated by the Concierge Service of Marina Ibiza. The Concierge team ensures that every participant’s need is met, adding significant value to the regatta.

Commitment to the Environment
Environmental care and sustainability are also paramount for the regatta’s host, Marina Ibiza. Repsol, one of the official suppliers, demonstrates its commitment to the nautical sector by promoting renewable fuels. With a fuel station at Marina Ibiza, Repsol will serve participants and the organization’s boats.

Comprehensive Onshore Program
Beyond being a sea-based regatta, Ibiza JoySail offers a comprehensive onshore program, providing meticulous attention to the teams. The Hospitality area, with breathtaking views of Dalt Vila, is the perfect spot for breakfasts and the captain’s briefing before heading out to sea, and for sundowners upon returning. As night falls, the focus shifts to entertainment, creating memorable moments that define the event.

For evening parties at the iconic Roto and Filin venues, Tequila Don Julio from Jalisco will surprise guests and feature prominently during the prize-giving ceremony.

Friends of Ibiza JoySail
The regatta is also special thanks to the “Friends of Ibiza JoySail,” including Southern Wind, Nautor Swan, Michl Marine, and Mangusta, who will once again participate this year.

Additionally, the regatta receives crucial support from Ibiza Travel, the Consell d’Eivissa, and the Ibiza Town Hall, celebrating its 25th anniversary as a World Heritage Site. These entities are vital in promoting Ibiza as a unique destination, both for visiting on land and for sailing, in partnership with the Club Náutico Ibiza, Real Club Náutico de Palma, ORC, and SYRA.

Thus, in its fourth edition, Ibiza JoySail reaches its maximum quota of participating yachts and sets a trend among the Mediterranean superyacht racing circuits.
