The XXI Copa del Rey de Barcos de Época – Vela Clásica Menorca is set to take place from August 25–30, 2025, in the picturesque port of Mahón, Menorca—continuing a proud tradition of classic sailing under the auspices of the Club Marítimo de Mahón.
A Showcase of Naval Elegance
This distinguished event brings together nearly 50 meticulously restored vintage yachts from around the globe. Notable entries include legendary vessels such as the majestic Cariad (launched 1896) and The Lady Anne (1912), alongside other historic names like Manitou.
These classic yachts compete across categories including Época (pre-1949), Clásico (1949–1975), Espíritu de Tradición, Big Boats (over 30 m), and the newly introduced Goletas, designed for schooners with two or more masts.
Racing, Culture & Conservation
Taking place over four days with five coastal races, the regatta embraces the heritage of Mediterranean sailing while contributing to conservation efforts. As part of the Mediterranean Champions Cup circuit, the event joins other classic regattas like Les Régates Royales and Les Voiles d’Antibes.
