Built in 2015 and refitted in 2019, “K” belongs to the Columbus Yachts ‘Sport’ line.
With a volume of 398 GT and all-aluminium hull and superstructure, “K” can accommodate ten guests in five cabins, including the owner’s suite and study on the main deck.
Marking the success of a joint effort between the shipyard, Hydro Tec and Hot Lab – responsible for naval architecture & exterior design the former ones, and interior design the latter, respectively – this Columbus Yachts 40m Sport unit has a 2-chine semi-displacement hull for increased stability in all sea conditions.
The innovatively designed windows can be transformed into real terraces overlooking the sea, and add versatility to the roomy indoor areas. Below deck, the ceilings reach up to 230 cm like we usually find in larger ships.
Great liveability characterizes also the outdoor where astern the large transom door opens down to a very welcoming beach club, and on the bow the Jacuzzi provides further entertainment just below the helm station. Last but not least, two MTU engines of about 2,000 hp each can push “K” to a maximum speed of 20 knots.
