62.5 million euros for the auction base of the Perini Navi dossier

The price, equal to 62.5 million euros, for the auction base of the Perini Navi dossier was set. The procedure will take place next 30 July at 3.00 pm at the company’s headquarters, in via Coppino in Viareggio, in front of the Darsena Europa. The bankruptcy trustee Franco Della Santa valued the Viareggio factories for 23.5 million, La Spezia 21 million in addition to a ship building for more than 2 million. Various and similar machines almost 2 million, and start-up with the brand, since 1983 a symbol of Made in Italy for large sailing ships with an auxiliary engine, about 13 million, as well as small other accessory values. All this always in block and in relation to the two yards of Viareggio and La Spezia.

Now companies or groupings of companies, already interested, will be able to participate in the complicated procedure upon payment of a 10 million euro deposit. Those who have expressed public interest in participating in the auction are, as is known, Sanlorenzo with Ferretti, Italian Sea Group and Palumbo Superyacht. The curator from Lucca, Franco Della Santa, made the acquisition bound to the maintenance of about 75 people by virtue of the employment levels. The stammering disbursement of the redundancy fund by INPS weighs on the employees, which only yesterday came to a successful conclusion with the payment. The union has always asked for a group with specific and consolidated experience in the nautical sector to take over and relaunch Perini Navi, one of the most famous Italian brands in the world.

Perini Navi’s is a story that has been thrilling the nautical world and beyond for over a year and a half. It was December 2019 when strong rumors began to spread about the serious financial crisis that saw the Viareggio shipyard as a protagonist. Rumors unfortunately confirmed by the facts that, between a twist and the other, led to the sad ending of the bankruptcy, decreed by the Court of Lucca and confirmed just over a month ago by the Court of Appeal of the Court of Florence, to which he had made appeal Fenix, holding company of the Tabacchi family which held the majority of the Viareggio shipyard, and Lamberto Tacoli, who was CEO and president.
