The first unit of the Mangusta 104REV, an innovative model of the new Mangusta Maxi Open era, was launched this morning. A yacht that made a name for itself even before it touched the water; in fact, the transfer of the Mangusta 104 REV took place at night in the narrow streets of Viareggio, arousing much curiosity among those present who saw a preview of the first example of the new Open line.
The Mangusta 104 REV is a revolutionary yacht, entry level of the iconic Maxi Open range, of which Overmarine has been the undisputed leader for over 35 years with more than 300 boats built. A boat with sporty and streamlined lines that remains faithful to the Mangusta DNA but reinterprets its contents, thanks to the collaboration of the Group’s Engineering Office with the designer Igor Lobanov.

This unit was sold to an American customer, fascinated by the new Maxi Open range, a success that testifies to how much this market is increasingly flourishing and attentive to the innovations applied to the Mangusta fleet. To date, in fact, all the lines of the Group, including the new models, are represented overseas.

Among the outstanding features of the boat we find the large windows that are integrated into the decidedly aggressive profile, a true engineering masterpiece. They offer great visibility, without binding the yacht, allowing it to be built in Class BV and MCA for commercial registration.
Light is the undisputed protagonist of the interior spaces; not only on the main deck, where the welcoming and sophisticated main salon is located, surrounded by full-height windows, but also on the lower deck which can accommodate up to 10 guests in 4 large cabins. Here you will find the full beam owner’s suite, a VIP and two guests.
As on every Mangusta boat, the dialogue between interiors and exteriors is uninterrupted to maximize the concept of lifestyle understood as an experience of life on board. Owners and their guests can in fact spend moments of absolute relaxation and privacy using the many areas available, including, for example, the welcoming sunbathing area at the bow or the sundeck which is perfectly integrated into the profile and winds around the arch. radar, giving this area an essential and decisive look. It is composed of a relaxation area in which a comfortable U-shaped sofa is inserted and a second command post.
The aft cockpit door is fully open connecting the saloon with the outdoor area designed to accommodate a dining area and spend pleasant convivial moments in complete relaxation. The Mangusta 104 REV is powered by 2 MTU 16V2000M96L engines and as many waterjets that allow it to reach a maximum speed of 35 knots in the absence of noise and vibrations. The range at a cruising speed of 25 knots is 370 nautical miles. Maximum performance and comfort both in navigation, even in rough seas, and at anchor thanks to the Seakeeper gyroscopic stabilizers.
This first unit will be delivered to its owner by the end of July while the next one, available for sale, can be delivered in the summer of 2022.
